How to choose a suitable mast?

Many customers will worry when buying a mast, they do not know how to choose the height and power type of mast, then this article will teach you how to choose a suitable mast.
An important factor in choosing a mast
When you choose a mast, you need to consider the following elements:
1. The weight of the top load and the length of the mast;
2. Required radiation range of the load;
In general, when buying a mast, because of the price advantage, first consider manual and electric models. However, when the weight of the load is too large, or the height of the mast is high, you must choose the hydraulic model, which is labor-saving and safe. The height of the mast needs to be selected according to the radiation range and the weight and size of the bottom load to ensure the stability of the mast.
How to choose the type of mast power?
The mast power type of the mast is divided into manual/electric/hydraulic. The manual and electric modes are to shake the winch to release or withdraw the wire rope to control the mast, the difference is that the manual mode needs to shake the winch by manpower, while the electric mode only needs to press the button to work. These two modes are more economical and convenient, but the maximum loading weight is 100kgs, and for safety considerations, it is recommended that the weight of the loading does not exceed 90kgs, the loading weight is too heavy will make the mast run not smooth enough, if the use of manual mast will be very laborious.
When the load weight is greater than 100kgs or the height of the mast is greater than 9m, the hydraulic mode is recommended. The hydraulic mode has no winch, and the hydraulic cylinder is controlled by remote control to provide power for the mast. The advantage of the hydraulic mode is that it is safe and labor-saving, and sufficient power makes the mast run smoothly, and the full load is 220kgs.
The relationship between the height of the mast and the radiation range
Like lights, monitoring and communication equipment, the higher the location, the wider the range of impact. For example, a 200W LED lamp is placed on the top of the mast at 6m, 9m and 12m heights, and the diameter of the area with a lighting degree greater than 10 lux is 16m, 20m, and 24m, respectively.
Therefore, when choosing a mast, when the weight of the top load is less than 90kgs, 6-9m, electric or manual mast is preferred, which is both economical, convenient and durable, and can meet most needs. When the weight of the load is too large, or you have special needs, then you need to consider the hydraulic mode of the mast, which is safe and easy to operate.
